The CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) for Languages is used to give Dutch language courses. The study of Dutch is separated into five levels. Basic themes, frequently used idioms, informal email writing, and day-to-day matters are covered in the A1 and A2 levels. A student can comfortably read and listen to short stories and fairy tales at the conclusion of the A2 level. More sophisticated grammar structures, formal email writing, and subjects and topics that assist articulate individual opinions are included in Intermediate levels B1 and B2.
