The CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) for Languages is used to give Dutch language courses. The study of Dutch is separated into five levels. Basic themes, frequently used idioms, informal email writing, and day-to-day concerns are covered in the A1 and A2 levels. A student can comfortably read and listen to short stories and fairy tales at the conclusion of the A2 level. More complicated grammatical structures, professional email writing, and issues and topics that assist explain individual opinions are included in the Intermediate levels B1 and B2.
